Matter Development Breaks Ground on Phase 2 of Oconomowoc Senior Living Community

OCONOMOWOC, WISCONSIN – Matter Development is proud to announce that construction has started on the 54-unit expansion of senior living community Evin at Oconomowoc.

“We’ve been so pleased with the community’s response to Evin, which drives this expansion of services to our residents,” said Aaron Matter, Founder & Managing Director of Matter Development. “Together with Koru Health, we continue to set the standard in Lake Country by combining exceptional design, thoughtful amenities, and a vibrant lifestyle for seniors – reinforcing our tagline ‘Living a Community-Inspired Life’.”

Evin has enjoyed sustained high occupancy since the first phase opened in October 2020. The expansion will add 54 new assisted living units – adding to the continuum of care available on the campus. Once complete, Evin will have 134 units of independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Residents may also choose to age-in-place, receiving assisted living services in their independent apartment as needed, allowing for greater flexibility and personalized care.

The expansion is designed to match the architectural style of the first phase, which earned a 2021 Design Excellence Award from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and numerous other awards for design and operational quality. The three-story addition will be built on the same site and connected by an elevated skywalk. Residents of Evin will enjoy a host of new amenities, including: pickleball courts, expanded walking paths, elegant dining room and bar, creative classroom, golf simulator, and an elegant tearoom.

Completion of construction is scheduled for late 2026, with pre-leasing opportunities and interest list registrations launching soon.

The development team for Evin’s expansion is consistent with the first phase, including Matter Development, which recently celebrated the successful grand opening of The Westerly Pewaukee earlier this year. Koru Health, an affiliate of Matter Development, will continue to operate the development. The design team includes Thrive Architects and interior designer O+O Studio, and the general contractor is Catalyst Construction. First Business Bank provided construction financing for both phases.
